Otok Obonjan
Obonjan Island, Croatia
Obonjan Island, just off the coast of Šibenik in Croatia, returns for an extended ten week season of inspiring, creative and restorative experiences.
With a programme of music, wellbeing, astronomy, comedy, cinema, food, talks and workshops. You simply book your stay, head their way, and settle into Obonjan's unique take on island living.
From yoga at sunrise and stargazing after sundown, to cocktails by the pool and breathtaking live shows in the amphitheatre, Obonjan offers a perfect blend of experiences in one of Europe's most blissful and picturesque settings.
For music festivalgoers seeking guaranteed sun, Croatia has become something of a mecca over the last few years: the number of festivals has more than doubled since 2010, with over 20 to choose from in 2016.
The 136-acre island, 6km off Šibenik on the Adriatic coast – once used by the scout movement and uninhabited for a decade – has been leased for 45 years by British event company Sound Channel, Croatian travel companies Gratiosus and CMT, and promotions and events firm Otok Ltd. There are plans to open it as a year-round resort.
