Położenie:

The luxurious lighthouse HOST is located on the island of the same name, which is located in the western part of the entrance to the port of Vis. Host island is oblong in shape, approx. 360 meters long and approx. 120 meters wide. It is approximately 2200 meters from the center of Vis. The boat dock is on the west side of the island, from where a footpath leads through the pine forest to the lighthouse. The lighthouse building, built in 1873, is located on the eastern part of the islet.

Plaża:

There is a path that leads to the beach. The beach is rocky, and the sea is a lovely turquoise color. There is also a sun deck with deck chairs where you can relax with refreshments or a cocktail while watching the turquoise sea and nature.

Zakwaterowanie:

The lighthouse was built in 1873. It was named Host after the English officer Sir William Hoste. He defeated a stronger French fleet in the Battle of the Island. The naval battle took place in 1811.

Note:
The lighthouse stands on the way to the port of Više, so vessels pass by it every day.
